5A went on a learning journey to Fu Chun Primary School to view exhibits of WWII. Some commented that they were fortunate to be living in the 21st Century and not back then where food was scarce and expensive. Klfton commented
" Japanese tortured British soldiers in many cruel and umimaginable ways." He also learnt to appreciate food for tapioca was grown and used as a substitute for rice and flour.
The class had their recess when they reached school at 10.50am. By then, they were famished and could wolf down anything they could grab..
5A would like to thank Salifian's mum who joined us in this trip as a parent volunteer.
If the japanese asked they could have got what they wanted and nobody would have to suffer.
