Merge or Not to Merge?

There are 14 points and 14 stripes on the Malaysian flag. What do they represent?

To Merge or Not to Merge?

In your opinion, should Singapore and Malaya merge then? Why? Why not?

Yo-yo

Have you read the research that your friends have done on yo-yos? Do you understand how they work?
The yo-yoist winds the string tightly around the axle. Sitting in the yo-yoist's palm, the yo-yo has a certain amount of potential energy. The yo-yo is held up in the air, giving it the potential to fall to the ground. The yo-yo has string wound around it, giving it the potential to spin as it unwinds. When the yo-yo reaches the end of the string, it can't fall any farther. But, because it has a good deal of angular momentum, it will keep spinning.

King and Queen of Yo-yo :)
Do also check out the websites that show the stunning moves by the yo-yoists. Some of your friends have sourced out really interesting websites

How are your September holidays so far?

How have you been spending your holidays? Playing on the computers/ Watching television programmes? Do spend your time wisely. Do remember to spend a bigger portion of your time reading. As I have shared, we can catch up on our reading during the holidays. Do remember to read at least 3 books of considerable thickness and fulfill your quota of 36 books in your reading record :)

Teachers' Day Celebration

The teachers were treated to a feast of items put up by the children. I was very pleased with the performances put up by many of the 5A children. Thank you for putting in your time for the performances.
Brian aka "Muscle Man" entertained the teachers much with his trademark move (see the picture) :) After the celebration, Mr Chia spoke with 5A. Nurul, who was exceptionally quiet in class, surprised all of us with her dance moves and her vocals :) Mr Chia was pleased with the support that 5A had rendered to all the performers:) Once again, thank you darlings for all the effort put in :) I had a great time and I am sure the teachers did too :)
